MSHDA Skilled Trades Training Program

We can help provide the job training and placement assistance that you need to start working with a great employer!
Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the workforce shortage has unfortunately become even worse…but that means employers are urgently looking to hire skilled workers! There are two programs that we offer for those interested in obtaining training to become employed with one of our program partners. These programs are only open to those interested and able to work full-time in the construction industry upon program completion. Job placement is included in both programs, work hours will vary based on employer.
The Get Certified Program - For those with significant construction experience who are looking to get certified or re-certified in Asbestos Abatement, Lead Abatement, and EPA Lead RRP. To join this program you will need to submit an application showing your experience and/or previous certifications in construction.
The Gain Experience Program - For those new to the construction industry. This program will include certification along with in-depth training in topics such as safety, tools, and the in-demand skills that employers need!
Both programs will take place Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM

Requirements For The Program:
Pass program pre-screen showing interest in working in residential construction
Pass drug screen as required by the program
Must hold an active and valid driver’s license (If you do not, please let us know and we will refer you to resources for this )
Must be 18 years or older
